declaring war on my hands
has left them raw–
they’ve been scrubbed too hard with sandpaper
and a wolf has chewed them bloody with its murderous maw
COVID-19
has corroded my hands by soaking them in gasoline
I have war hands
and it’s left me raw

Hahaha yes, same here! I always wash my hands a lot anyway but this has just gone up drastically and I seem to be forever manically washing my hands. I’ve also been using more of the wipes and gel which I don’t think agree with my skin too much. I fear they’re beyond the help of hand moisturisers, and it sounds like you need some hardcore hand TLC too. O’Keeffe’s is supposed to be very good, and there’s something called a Snowfire Stick, not sure if you’ve ever heard of it. Quite pricey but my hands are now so painful each time water touches them I might splash out. I hope you can get a little relief for your poor paws, too!

I’m glad to hear that I’m not the only one’s whose hands are in poor shape (how terrible is that???). I’ve always been a bit of a nut with hand washing too, and I’m allergic to a lot of soaps out there. Those are some great ideas. I’ll have to look into them.
